The Edo State Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalist, Comrade Festus Alenkhe has urged members of Federated Chapel to join hands with the new Executive led by Mercy Onyenweli to enable adequate progress in the chapel.
The Chairman stated this while commending Executive and members of the chapel who were in his office on behalf of all members of the chapel to register their support ahead of the State Chairman late mother’s burial.
Comrade Festus Alenkhe who expressed satisfaction over the conduct of the chapel remarked that during his days as the Chairman Youth Council in Edo State, his team were very proactive with ideas that lifted the council to the height that it had attained toady.
He however encouraged the Executive members of Federated Chapel to work hard and maintain the recently acquired office space at the NUJ Secretariat.
He further emphasized that with the display of commitment to service of the chapel, he is ready to support the programs the leadership of the chapel will come up with in the year 2023.
He however officially invited the chapel to his late mother’s burial coming up on the 8th to 10th of December, 2023.
Speaking also, the Chairperson of Federated Chapel, Mercy Onyenweli commended the State Executive for their support to the growth of the Chapel.
She assured the Chairman that her Executive members will soon come up with program scheduled to hold next year,2023.
She also added that with the enabling environment that has been created by the leadership of the State Council, Federated Chapel is already leveraging on it to reciprocate the progress at the chapel level.
