The President, Aiguobasinmwin Movement World-Wide, Comrade Osaro-Culture Iyamu has described as rumour the purported increament of School fees of University of Benin by the management led by the Vice Chancellor, professor Edoba Omoregie.
He stated this while addressing journalists in Benin City on the development.
Comrade Iyamu said the information is being circulated by rumour mongars whose intention is to cause panic in the minds of the people. Acceptance fee is different from school fees but the VC of the school is not increasing school fees.
He further stated that it is sacrosanct to note that the rumour being spread around is the handiwork of mischief makers who does not mean well for University of Benin.
Comrade Iyamu cautioned that the body will not allow rumour override the current performance of the vice Chancellor, professor Omoregie, SAN. This is just the handiwork of rumours mongers trying to be heard or seen for doing nothing.
He explained that the VC has fixed decayed infrastructures to create a conducive learning environment, improving learning tools to boost academic excellence, employment of 500 staff(Academic and Non Academic) within a year, addressing staff shortages and boosting morale of staff.
