Music is what is do with joy not because if the financial benefit, gains fame or otherwise, the little contact I have made with people is due to my musical outing, these are some of the submission of a Benin base artist, Daniel Moses.
He opined that if Benin cum Edo music must continue to server it’s purpose, the people and not just the government must be involve more and be committed to the sponsorship for a better development inorder to look attractive.
According to him; the new generation of Edo musicians are not just singing but we sing with meaning lyrics so that the music can find a space because we are of the belief that it will definitely break into the market.
“We have traveled round southern, eastern and some other places in Nigeria, people love Edo music our lyrics is second to none.
Artist Moses stressed the need for Edo musicians to look outside the state for better collaboration with other artists in other part of Nigeria and outside Nigeria for wider spread and understanding of the languages and cultural taste.
