In his acceptance speech, Mr. Agbaje expressed his gratitude to NNPP
members for re-electing him and reaffirmed his commitment to building a
stronger party. He called for unity and collaboration, stressing that
only through collective effort could the party make meaningful progress.
“I am deeply honoured to be entrusted with this responsibility for
another four years,” Agbaje remarked. “This victory is for all of us. It
is a victory to serve the people and take our party to greater heights.
Together, we will work to realise our goal of having a presence in
Osadebe House—the seat of government in Edo State.”
Agbaje also set ambitious targets for the party, vowing toproduce
candidates for key political positions, including the vacant Edo-Central
Senatorial seat and the Ovia North and Ovia South Federal
Constituencies. He urged party members to prepare for future elections
at all levels, from local councils to the national stage.
He also emphasised the importance of grassroots engagement, stating,
“True victory in politics comes from connecting with the grassroots. We
must ensure that all candidates are given a fair chance to present their
vision and engage with the people directly. This is the key to winning
elections.”
The newly elected executives are expected to play a pivotal role in
mobilising the party’s supporters and driving its political agenda
forward.
