Hon. Bright Aitenguoba Iyamu, member representing Orhionmwon South Constituency at the Edo State House of Assembly has denied report linking him to the endorsement of former governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to clinch the senatorial ticket of the All Progressive Congress, APC come 2027.
Iyamu who hailes from same political ward with Ize-Iyamu is seeking a second term to continue representing the southern part of the LGA.
According to reporting posted on his Facebook handle, he said it became imminent on him to state the true picture of things and describe the peddlers of such piece as impostors and mischief makers.
“My attention has been drawn to a circulating report titled “Bright Iyamu Rallies Support for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu for Edo South Senatorial Ticket,” purportedly authored by certain impostors and mischief makers. I wish to state clearly and unequivocally that this publication did not emanate from me or my office.
“The individual or group responsible for this report is not affiliated with my office in any capacity and should be regarded as impostors and impersonators whose sole aim is to mislead the public and create unnecessary confusion.
Why claiming to be unaware of Ize-Iyamu senatorial ambition he appealed to the public that only statements released through his verified and official communication channels should be considered authentic.
Those responsible for the spread of false information are hereby warned to desist from such acts, as I will not hesitate to take appropriate steps to protect the integrity of my office and my reputation Iyamu added.
