As the supreme court of Nigeria laid to rest the post election legal battle between, All Progressive Congress, APC, Monday Okpebholo and People Democratic Party, PDP, Asue Ighodalo by further reaffirming Sen Monday Okpebholo as the duly elected governor of Edo State. Mr Etinosa Odiase, APC stalwart in Urhonigbe ward 8 has congratulated Sen Okpebholo.
Odiase, who is a leader of the ruly party with a stronger grassroots base and a large number of supporters spanning across Orhionmwon LGA and Edo South said the supreme court judgement is a testament that Edo people actually spoke in one laid voice by voting for Sen Monday Okpebholo in the September 2024 governorship election.

Speaking to newsmen in Benin City, the state capital, Odiase noted that Edo is practically rising with physical infrastructural development currently going on under Okpebholo.
According to him; Okpebholo is a man that does not talk much but his marks are seen all over the state, except for those who have chosen to remain negative in their minds. Edo belongs to all of us and we should join hands together to support the governor as our leader.
“All post election legal activities were just mere steps worthy of being fulfilled, as a pure Edo man, the state spoke in one laud voice in September last year, the tribunal, appeal court proceedings was to distract the governor. Thank God he remains focused and now the supreme court judgement is here. I salute the courage of the justices and judges who delivered the judgement in respective of those involved. The judgement is a true reflection of what actually transpired at the poll.
He stressed that it was time for the governor to intensify the pace of spreading good governance to the people especially those in the rural area.
“I strongly congratulate the governor and state further that we are fully ready to work with him, he added.
