
A former Edo State National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement in the 2023 presidential election Ikhuenbor Felix Igbinevbo officially joined the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Edo State.
Ikhuenbor who is better known as Mr Figo officially joined the party on Tuesday when he paid a visit to the leadership of All Progressive Congress in Ohuan Ward, Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of the state.
The social commentator and a strong critique of the All Progressive Congress has wide spread followers that cut across the three Senatorial Districts of the state.
According to him; he decided to become a card- carrying member of any political party for the first time of over five decades of his life and all because of one man His Execellecy Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State for his developmental drives.
He said it has come to his firm conclusion that it was no longer enough to support such a man from the outside that he believes in strengthening his voice of advocacy from within the APC family as a party man and stakeholder not as a singer to anyone, but as someone committed to adding real value to the governor’s people focused governor.
The activist cum politician said he understands that the party is supreme, but also believes such supremacy must rest on justice and equity, with the interest of the people at the centre of every policy and action.
“For the first time in my life, I have taken the decision to become a card- carrying member of any political party, I’m doing so because of one man, His Execellecy, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State.”
“My engagement with the governor in the past week, and particularly during my journey with him to several local government areas in Edo North and Edo Central, my perspective shifted when I saw firsthand, the zeal and sincerity in his developmental drives for Edo State.
He however extended his warm greetings to the leadership of APC in the state level, the Edo South Senatorial leadership and Uhunmwonde Local government leadership.
