National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Edo State command has presented the WAADA partner badge award to the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Dr. Jerry Uwangue, DFCISM.
The award was presented to him by Commander of Narcotics, Mitchell Ofoyeju in Benin City the state capital on Thursday.
According to a facebook post sighted by Daily Flash Nigeria, elated Hon Uwangue said Instead of youths going into the cultivation of harmful substances like cannabis, we are committed to helping them redirect that energy into genuine agricultural productivity and food production.
According to him; Our discussion focused on strengthening the fight against drug abuse and supporting our farmers who are often affected by its consequences.
He said stronger partnerships and continuous awareness, we will protect our youth, support our farmers, and build a healthier Edo State where everyone can thrive.
