Authorities of Edo State Consumer Protection Committee has banned vendors of a locally made Nigerian herbal mixtures known as Agbo.
They said, CPC being inundated with reports and complaints from the public that Agbo sellers are enhancing their products with sachet Gin and other harmful substances hence the ban.
CP Instructs Area Commanders, DPOs to Join Edo CPC
According to the statement from the management committee; we wish to advise all agbo sellers in Edo State to remove such harmful liquid substances in circulation before 20th September, 2026 to avoid a total crackdown during a statewide enforcement.
They stressed that the committee remains committed to protecting the health and safety of consumers across the eighteen Local Government Areas of Edo State. and will continue to support the current government effort in making the state safest in Nigeria and sub-sahara Africa.
