A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, presided over by Justice Joyce Abdulmalik has discharged and acquitted the publisher of CrossRiverWatch, Citizen Agba Jalingo in a suit instigated by Mrs. Alami Ayade, sister in-law to former Cross River Governor, Senator Ben Ayade.
Mrs. Ayade had petitioned the Police who arrested Mr. Jalingo and charged him to Court using the Cybercrimes act over a post on Facebook bordering on examination malpractice at the Abuja campus of the Nigerian Law School which they said caused her “ill will” and “insult.”
