A philanthropist and founder, Godsent Foundation, Amb. (Dr.) Osarodion Osagie, has been inducted into the esteemed Board of Trustees (BoT) of the National Youth Assembly of Nigeria (NYAN).
The role given to the Benin-born philanthropist is in recognition of his continuous efforts to support youth empowerment and his commitment to social welfare through various initiatives.
Presenting an official letter of appointment to Dr. Osagie, a Chief of Staff to Senior Special Assistant To President Bola Tinubu on Student Engagement, Amb. Salahudeen Lukman, described Osagie as an exemplary leader, just as he emphasised his tireless efforts to uplift and empower the youth of Nigeria.
Lukman, while extolling Osagie’s virtues and contributions, noted that the Benin-born philanthropist involvement with NYAN would undoubtedly inspire many young Nigerians to pursue constructive and impactful roles within their communities.
His contributions remind us of the importance of steadfast commitment to progress and community betterment. With his appointment to this board, I’m confident that the future holds remarkable opportunities for the youth of Nigeria,” Lukman noted.
Also speaking, Amb. Emmanuel Benjamin Udomoh, the National Deputy Speaker of NYAN, while appreciating Osagie’s “enduring commitment to creating positive change,” highlighted Osagie’s philanthropic initiatives through his foundation, which, he said, has been a force for good across numerous communities.
“Amb. Osagie is an embodiment of what it means to serve selflessly. His foundation has touched countless lives, and his dedication to humanity and youth empowerment is remarkable,”
Udomoh stated.
Many at the induction ceremony commended Osagie’s vision for a better society and his determination to bring that vision to life.
They praised his outstanding work, recounting personal stories and observations of how he has impacted lives through his dedication to social causes, particularly those benefiting young people and the less privileged.
In response, Amb. Osagie, while expressing his deep gratitude for the honour bestowed upon him, attributed his achievements to divine grace.
He expressed his intention to remain steadfast in his service to humanity,
I’m truly honoured and humbled by this appointment and by the encouragement I’ve received here today,” Dr. Osagie said.
“I thank Almighty God for this recognition, and I promise to remain dedicated to supporting our youth and nurturing the next generation of leaders. Together, we can create a brighter future and uplift the lives of the less privileged and downtrodden.”
Dr. Osagie’s induction into the BoT of NYAN signals a renewed tofocus on youth engagement and social impact, with many looking forward to the positive changes his leadership is expected to inspire.
