
A truck has reportedly rammed into four vehicles in Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, killing three persons on the spot.
One other person was said to havve sustained injuries in the crash which reportedly occurred on the Auchi-Benin highway by Omega Fire Ministry.
It was gathered that the crash involved a Dangote truck heading towards Benin City, a Mercedes GLK and three other vehicles.
The Edo state Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Cyril Mathew, confirmed the incident, adding that six persons were involved.
The Sector Commander attributed the accident to brake failure, noting that two persons escaped unhurt.
He said: “Six persons were involved in the accident, three died, including two males and one female adult, while two others escaped unhurt.
“The truck had a brake failure, in the process rammed into three vehicles, killing three persons and injured one.”
