Bendel Insurance Football Club celebrated a major breakthrough on Matchday 16, securing their first away victory of the season with a hard-fought 1–0 win over Katsina United.
The match-winning moment came in the 72nd minute when Elmer Arunta delivered a brilliant strike, lifting the Benin Arsenals out of the relegation zone and reigniting hope among fans.
In a statement issued by his media aid, Edoko Wilson Edoko, Edo State Sports Commission Executive Chairman Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele hailed the victory as “a new dawn for Bendel Insurance FC.” He praised the team’s determination, unity, and marked improvement, highlighting their ability to turn the season around.

He also referenced the team’s rising momentum following a commanding 3–0 victory over Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi on Matchday 15, noting that Bendel Insurance continues to build confidence and strength with every match.
