.In a bid to ascertain the level of progress in work done in the local government area, Hon. Newman Ugiagbe, Chairman of Orhionmwon Council recently embarked on projects inspection across the 12 political wards in the council.
Hon. Ugiagbe’s first stop was the ongoing market construction in Evbowie community, Ukpato Ward, inhabiting both open and close stores.
Hon. Ugiagbe, who expressed satisfaction with the level of work done so far at the market, urged the contractor to speed up the work to meet the completion timeframe.
According to Roy Osariemen, Chief Press Secretary to the council boss, the chairman who was accompanied by the special adviser, Dcn Jonathan Okunbor, and the Council Investment Officer, Mr. Osasere Omoregie had robust interactions with contractors on site.
On getting to Urhehue, Abudu, Organ, Iguelaba and Oza also for the inspection of other projects like Water Project, renovation and fencing the Abudu Primary Healthcare Center and Ogan Town Hall.

“In Urhonigbe Ward, the council is renovating the Akugbe Primary School (BDC) and installing Solar Powered Street Lights. These projects aim to improve the lives of residents and enhance economic activities.
In Ugbeka, the council is constructing the Uson Primary School and Ute Market. These projects will provide better educational facilities and market infrastructure for the community.
“The Council is also undertaking the construction of Ugo Market, expansion of Evboesi Cassava Market in Ugboko, and Evboesi wards respectively. These projects will boost economic activities and provide better market facilities.

Other ongoing projects include the rehabilitation of Community Primary School Otobaye; construction of 40 Open Stores in Evbokabua Main Market, and open market stores in Egboko, all in Iyoba Wards.
Hon. Ugiagbe, however, assured the people of Orhionmwon that every village in the local government would feel the impact of governance before the end of his tenure in office.
Some of the inhabitants of the benefiting communities expressed appreciation for the council’s projects.
