The consumers protection committee, CPC in Edo State says they are fully ready to have a cross section and interactive engagement with relevant stakeholders across the eighteen local government area in the state.
In a statement jointly signed by Mr Osaro Iyamu Culture, Mrs Osaghae Sweet Oghogho, Mr. Eshesimua Sunday Charles and Mr. Audu Solomon, Chairman, Edo south, Edo central and Edo north coordinators respectively on Monday 31 August, after their inaugural meeting, they said plans are seriously underway to have stakeholders/town hall meeting.
According to the statement; The committee will urgently convene a stakeholders/town hall meeting inorder to sensitize the general public, manufacturers, dealers, business men/women, civil society organizations, NGOs, and consumers on consumer rights, safety standards, and government policies.

“The Committee will embark on immediate and aggressive engagements with relevant Government Authorities, Agencies, and Stakeholders to accelerate concrete partnerships for effective consumer protection across Edo State.
“We have resolved to carry out a state wide enforcement and compliance across the state after the town hall meeting.

The committee remains committed to the SHINE Agenda of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo and will not relent until Edo consumers enjoy safety, dignity and value for money the statement added.
