…passes vote of confidence on Chief Billy
The All Progressives Congress, APC has suspended Mr Festus Aimierobhiye and two others over financial misappropriation, gross insubordination.
Mr Aimierobhiye was the party chairman in Umagbae North Ward 5, Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of Edo State.
Mr Aimierobhiye and few others had earlier sent a letter to newsmen saying the rep member was under suspension.
In a letter signed by over thirty (30) members of the party and made available to DAILYFLASH, titled ‘notice of suspension’ dated 27 of September 2024. The party unanimously suspended Mr. Aimierobhiye, Pa Thomas Osazuwa and Comr Oziegbe Ighodaro.

According to the letter; after much deliberation the executive and leadership in the ward unanimously suspended Mr. Aimierobhiye, Pa Thomas Osazuwa and Comr Oziegbe Ighodaro for gross misconduct, financial embezzlement, forgery and anti-party activities during and after the gubernatorial election.
“In view of the foregoing, a five man committee has been set up to investigate their activities.

The party however pass a vote of implicit confidence on Hon. Chief. Dr. Billy Adesuwa Osawaru, member representing Orhionmwon and Uhunmwonde federal constituency at the green chamber.
They said the vote of confidence is as a result of his outstanding leadership qualities, exceptional representation, prioritising the welfare of his constituents as evidence in the countless number of people oriented projects and social services he has attracted to his constituency.
The APC both at the LGA and state level was copied in the letter.
