Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), has felicitated Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on his 56th birthday.
In a congratulatory message released in Benin on Saturday, August 29, 2026, the CMD thanked God for the governor’s life and good health, praising his determination, candor, and genuine commitment to the progress and wellbeing of the people of Edo State.

“Our relationship over the years, both personal and official, has given me the privilege of appreciating the man behind the office- your determination, your candour and your genuine concern for the progress and wellbeing of our people. I am therefore particularly delighted to celebrate you today.
“Your Excellency, your commitment to healthcare deserves special commendation, when government invests in healthcare, it does more than build facilities or provide equipment; it protects lives, restores hope and assures families that, when illness comes, they will have access to the care they need. That is a responsibility we must continue to embrace together.
