The Rector of Edo State Polytechnic Usen, Dr Nosakhare Arodoye has assured graduating students that management of the higher institution will push for automatic employment for the best graduating students in the state civil service.
He said unlike the university counterparts, graduates of Edo Poly, particularly from Usen have what it takes to curry the needed attention for straight employment in civil service both within and outside the state.
Why briefing journalists today on the activities of the Polytechnic 7th convocation, Dr Arodoye said with the recent government attention on the school led by Sen Monday Okpebholo, the narrative has changed, the Polytechnic can now boost of market ready graduates.
According to him; in line with the SHINE agender of Mr Governor, the Polytechnic has set mechanary in place to make our graduating students smile home.
On accreditation, the Rector said, the Polytechnic management is closed to achieving 100% accreditation for all programs by the school both at ND and HND level.

This historic project for over two decades of existence has transformed the physical outlook of the campus’.

A total number of one thousand twenty four students will be convocating in 2025, inclusive of national diploma, ND and higher national diploma, HND.

He noted that the convocation is coming at a defining moment in the history of the institution, for several years, Edo State Polytechnic, Usen experienced significant challenges, including infrastructural decay, limited funding and administrative stagnation.
Sen Monday Okpebholo, his deputy, RT Hon Dennis Idahosa and eight others will received various awards including fellowship.
