As part of its top gear preparation for the actualization of the manifestos for the next leadership in the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, the campaign council of Comrade Alhassan Yahya and Dr. Abimbola Oyetunde as national president and deputy national president of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ is set for inauguration.
The flag-off of the campaign team code name, NUJ 2024: Forward Together: Greater Union will take commence at the secretariat of NUJ, Lagos State council on Saturday 26, 2024.
The A+A campaign team is saddled with the responsibility of galvanising support for the success of Alhassan and Abimbola ahead of NUJ Triennial Delegates conference slated for Owerri, Imo State come November 27, 2024.

Accory to the statement made available to DAILYFLASH by the protaim secretary general, Comr. Kenneth Ofoma on Friday, the campaign team is made of Journalists across the country.
He said the the acronym ‘A + A’ (A plus A) stands for Alhassan plus Abimbola. For those familiar with the duo and their antecedents in the annals of NUJ, they represent a dynamo that will propel NUJ to the next phase of accomplishments and transformational leadership.
“A+A, even in genetic engineering, represents positivity, dynamic growth and purity of life.”
The statement noted that Alhassan and Abimbola exemplify institutional experience, innovation, dynamism, fidelity, integrity, transparency and accountability.
“A plus A also embodies a close-nit team that goes beyond the duo, but also encompasses other trail-blazing individuals that will bring change and advancement to the various departments of NUJ like the Treasury, Finance and Audit, among others.
“The new team promises a powerful but accessible, humane, forward looking and transformational CWC and NEC that will drive a new vision for a modern day Union that places the welfare of members and progress of the industry at the front burner at all times.”
According to the statement, the A+A Campaign Council will comprise, the Director General (DG), Secretary General, Six Dep DGs (one per zone), Six Assistant DGs (one per zone), and Deputy Secretary General.
The Campaign Council is made up but not limited to the following:

Expected at the campaign flagg-off are NUJ veterans and leaders across the zones, the campaign team, and Chairmen and Secretaries of NUJ in the six state Councils of South West zone of Nigeria.
